Germany has vowed to expand its investment in electric vehicles in Thailand following the visit of German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier.


Germany is Thailand's largest trade partner in the EU and Thailand is Germany's third-largest trade partner in Asean, prime minister Mr Thavisin  said Germany is ready to support Thailand in the production of renewable energy with the aim to to increase electricity produced by renewables by 50% by 2040. 

 

The Department of Special Investigation is investigating an alleged case of police torture after a suspect  Mr. Panya was falsely implicated in his wife's murder in Sa Kaeo province. Security footage revealed teenagers assaulted and killed her. The investigation aims to determine if police wrongly charged Mr. Panya.
