scubascuba3 Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 You can get cheaper rubbish insurance, keeps some people happy, ignorance is bliss. Â Also use govt hospitals where possible and keep healthy (diet and exercise) and keep/save enough money to cover emergencies and the inevitable ops you'll need

Bills can easily exceed 1 million baht in such cases if for example highly specialized surgeries and long ICU stays are required. Â Still 1/3 - 1/5 cost of private hospitals, but far from cheap in such instances.

And do you have any chronic health conditions?  Are you moving to ThalIand permanently, or just visiting, or going back and forth each year? Travel policies are much, much less expensive than regular health policies but cover only emergencies and you need to be ready and able to fly back home for treatment once stable enough.
