Popular Post Social Media
Trump Criticizes Prince Harry, Suggests Lack of Protection if Reelected Former President Donald Trump has stirred controversy with remarks suggesting that he would not offer protection to Prince Harry if he were to win the White House in the upcoming November elections. Trump's comments, made in an interview with the U.K.'s Daily Express, centered around what he perceived as Harry's betrayal of the queen, labeling it as "unforgivable." The backdrop for Trump's statement is the ongoing legal battle initiated by the conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation, against the Department of Homeland Security regarding the visa granted to the 39-year-old British royal. Trump accused the Biden administration of shielding Harry, asserting that under his presidency, Harry would not receive such protection. Expressing his stance bluntly, Trump emphasized, "I wouldn't protect him," and added, "He would be on his own if it was down to me." These remarks highlight the contentious relationship between the former president and the Duke of Sussex, who, along with his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, relinquished their roles as full-time working members of the British royal family in 2020 and relocated to California. The tension between Trump and Harry has been exacerbated by Harry's candid revelations in his memoir, "Spare," released last year. In the book, Harry delves into his struggles with grief following the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana, in 1997, as well as his fraught relationship with the British press and his family. Trump's criticism extends to the royal family, whom he accuses of being overly accommodating to Harry despite his actions. With Queen Elizabeth II's passing in 2022, Trump contends that the royal family has shown excessive leniency towards Harry, given the circumstances. In response to Trump's comments, Harry revealed in a recent interview with ABC News that he has contemplated obtaining American citizenship. However, he clarified that it is not currently a priority for him. The exchange underscores the ongoing tensions within the British royal family and the broader implications of Harry and Meghan's decision to step back from their official duties. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the dynamics between the royals and global figures like Trump remain a subject of scrutiny and debate. 28.02.24 Source 1
Popular Post JonnyF
There is no need for Trump to protect Harry like the current administration does. Markle has no links to the Republicans, unlike the many 'friends' she has in the Democrats. Plus Trump had a lot of respect for the Queen and the Royal Family while Harry has been trashing them to pay for his extravagant lifestyle of private jets, mansions and Range Rover motorcades while claiming to be a climate activist. Interesting that the main defense for Harry's admission of drug taking in his book Spare appears to be that his book was actually a pack of lies. Well, quelle surprise!! Many of us have been saying that since it came out. https://nypost.com/2024/02/24/us-news/prince-harrys-drug-use-claim-in-spare-not-proof-he-took-drugs-lawyer-says-he-may-have-lied-to-sell/ 1 3 1 1 5

He is rich enough to hire his own protection, so why should the American taxpayer have to pay? Harry made the noose for his own neck with his attacks on his family. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever. 2 1

Not sure about need but (1) the US (and current administration) provides no security for Harry and his family, and (2) Harry's spokesman has been quoted in the past as saying that Harry would not ask the US to provide same. 4

Much like if a member of Trumps family travel to go hunting in S. Africa, or were to travel to Italy etc. This is what governments of Democratic (and maybe not so democratic) do. They offer and provide protection to heads of states, royalty, and other associated VIP's. At tax payer expense.

Popular Post Red Forever
I'm no lover of the British monarchy. It will be abolished within the coming 50 yrs. However, Brits have bigger problems, viz the corrupt Tory government which is supported by their billionaire donor class that have cut Brit's social services to the bone. The fact that the OP is quoting from the Daily Express is a red flag to anyone with a passing interest in the truth. Then, the mention of the disgraced former POTUS (the orange man baby) in the mix proves that this is a clever diversion from the problems in UK and US . Thankfully on both sides of the pond the "ding a lings" are in a minority but they are loud. Never forget that Trump shouted, at one of his rallies: "I love the poorly educated ". How's that make ya feel MAGAs ? 2
