Because he said a coffee at Starbucks at the Avenue was 100 baht. That I know is untrue so suggests rest of story untrue also

You mean, he neglected to offer another 5 baht? I think 100 is close 'nuff.

I usually get a double:

Yup, the menu says it's 105 baht, as above. Now maybe he didn't have 5 baht extra in his pocket. Relax, change the soiled knickers.

Poor translation. It's referring to a hot regular cup o' Americano. 105 baht, gf and I had a couple of cups at T21 the other day.

Here's the menu, though we don't want to descend into another Starbucks bashing thread. All been said many times before.

When was T21 Starbucks same price as the Avenue?

It's like KFC, different price at every shopping center

No.

Yes, KFC is a different price everywhere. Loved Royal Garden until they closed as early 20 baht cheaper for 2 piece feed. Big C on Pattaya Klang now the cheapest KFC

see tons of super obese fat farangs with swollen feet from diabetes all over Pattaya all the time, who always look like a hell of a mess

This gentleman was in superb condition, looked like a runner and had the handshake of a bricklayer.

I've seen the guys you're talking about. In 2022 there was one in a pharmacy on Buakhao who had a gangrenous foot from diabetes.  The lady pharmacist tried to direct him to the hospital but he was already drunk before noon and would have none of it.

Yup. I like expresso. And they don't actually sell watered-down expresso. The menu is misleading except about the price.

Yes. And the OP gave the supposed victim 100 baht for a coffee without claiming it would cover the extra 5 baht.

But now @Ralf001comes up with the 100-baht brewed coffee. So then, where's your BS?

Since when does the Avenue DIY store sell socks to go with his slippers? His whole story is made up

Also no empty lot behind Avenue Apartments where guy supposedly woke up?

Ok, enough from the peanut gallery.

Technically you're right, because behind the Avenue condos is the Whisper Hotel and the vacant lot is behind that.

What in the name of God do I, or the drugged guy have to gain from fabricating such a tale?

Op, Well done for being a  nice guy.

Thanks, but the ladies at Starbucks were the ones who deserve recognition.

They were amazing and very thorough with cleaning his wounds.   A Thai person cared enough to give the man a used pair of sandals, albeit a small size.  That's really what the thread is about, the kindness and generosity of the local people.

There's a dirt lane from Buakhao to Soi 15 that passes a vacant lot on the right, then the Whisper Hotel, then The Avenue Condo. It was my deduction that this is the "field" the gentleman woke up in.

Show me where I said Starbucks at Avenue was 105. Your quote has been changed from what I posted

You may have been referring in your inarticulate way to my own statement. I usually do order the Americano. However, the OP's 100 baht turns out to have been correct for brewed coffee. 🙂 You may post a photo from the menu next time you're in. 🙂
