Tax must be paid on all foreign income if you stay the majority of a tax year in Thailand

So does that mean if a person is receiving a pension/retirement funds or dividends from investments from his/her country, it will be taxed?

There are a number of threads on the actual tax issue, double-taxation agreements, and the like, please discuss the detail in one of those.

Our OP is specifically aimed at "Have many left, or considering leaving?let's try and keep it on topic.

I read that at the start of 2024 Thai Tax must be paid on all foreign income if you stay the majority of a tax year in Thailand. Have many left, or considering leaving?

I guess many have to leave the Country as they can't afford to pay any Tax, they are living from their monthly Pensions and have no Savings at all.

Does the tax apply to Retirement Visa holders as many have been living without paying Thai tax. Even for more affluent foreigners with businesses overseas this will mean a large deduction and some are here because of the past tax free status. Is it being enforced and are tax forms in Thai?
