Adverts on ASEAN NOW

Featured Replies

It is becoming impossible to read articles because adverts, some without X to close are popping up continuously.

I realise adverts fund the site but it would be a better user experience if the pop ups were limited and easily closed when irrelevant.

Thanks

I peeked at AN on the phone while charging the car ...

... geez, why bother, as have to clear about 3 ads at times, as you say, if you can, before able to read anything.  And that's with every tab opened ... W T F

Why would anyone even bother, and that's while using an ad blocker, which does block ads & pop ups on all other sites.

Apart from the ubiquitous pop-up ads, I keep having to sign in when visiting the site. In the old days it was about once a year. Now it's nearly every day

What the hell is this cant get rid of the dam thing

I normally check out the ASEANNOW website on my phone early in the morning, it is nearly impossible now to read even a few words before an annoying advert from ANA a Japanese Airline takes over my phone, even if l watch the advert all the way through (120sec) it pops up again a few minutes later.

Advice needed to stop the advert, it spoils the site.

the only way i can, and will, use the site is with an ad blocker. the amount of intrusive ads is ridiculous. i understand that ads are an important segment of the business model, but to have ads that actively prevent ease of user access to the site is counter intuitive. most web designers understand this, but clearly not all...

Yes this!I turned off the ad blocker and pop ups appear in the middle of the screen and when i turn it on i get a box saying please turn off your ad blocker!! I don't mind ads on the side bar but not those which obscure the text looks like i will be looking elsewhere if this goes on.

Yes, getting that now with every tab opening, though clicking one 'X" is better than clicking the endless and repetitive ones you'll get without an ad blocker.

I don't even bother with AN on my phone, as they are so annoying.  Don't know how people would even bother viewing AN on a phone of tablet.

This new banner is annoying, are the new owners trying the scare whats left of posters away?

We are in process changing ad setup and move to more powerful servers. Please be patient. Work in progress!
