I am now consuming 2 bottles a day of those tiny little glass bottles Thailand loves so dearly. Can't get the large 1 liter plastic bottles they have in the West.  Would it be worthwhile to purchase a machine to make my own? Will it be cheaper? More convenient? Less trips to the local 7-11 would help. Are the machines on Lazada worth a try? I just worry about cartridge replacements when buying online. I am in the Bangkok area, so I was wondering if anyone has some local experience and where to get replacement cartridges and if it is really worth the initial investment. Thanks in advance.

Works good but you have to return the empty gas bottles to head office in Bangkok.

Works out expensive.

I have one of those but bought a large CO2 bottle and an adapter.

Saves a lot.

 

The bottle lasts for months and costs 300 Baht to refill at the local gas shop.

A bit of an expense to start with but saves a packet in the long run.

The gas bottle and adapter were bought on Lazada.

2bottles/day = 14bottles/wk = 119 bht/wk = 476 bht/month

 

Refill cost:

300 bht/2.5 month (assumption)

That big gas bottle will last months and months. A lot more than 2.5.

Don't forget you have to buy the Soda Stream and large gas bottle. 5 or 6 thousand.
