How much does a Pad Thai cost in your Thai city ?

I'm not talking about a take-away market Pad Thai nor am I talking about a fancy restaurant Pad Thai.

I'm thinking typical food court Pad Thai.

Where?

Bangkok, 50 baht.  Very basic, can customise (add stuff) but still very cheap and good enough après pub.

All over. 100 baht is a rip off.

I heard that it supposed to be one of the most fattening Thai meals, and going by the 3 people in the foreground of that photo, it is.

Curries be worse. More sugar and fat.

Feels like it, yeah.

But this is more or less the way it's going now in Pattaya.

The city used to be known for being pretty cheap especially for food.

I don't think it's really the case anymore.

That 80 THB Pad Thai I mentioned at Buakhao Market was 60THB  a few months ago.

Hotel prices have been going up as well. I was surprised to see I could find better deals in Patong, Phuket.

Anyways...

Thx for sharing

25 THB.

60 baht is ok but 100 baht is too much unless it is large.

There is a place in Bangkok that has great 69 baht Khao Sois, rather eat that.

Food court food is mediocre at best.  You'll get better and cheaper on the street.

£10 to £30

459 / 1377. Baht

Outside Hua-hin, direction Cha-am 50 b, wrapped in egg with big shrimps and nuts, and tauge, in my opinion the best.

I only eat the ones the wife makes. Those you get in restaurants and roadside stalls are usually full of sugar. Taste more like desserts. Same with the curries.

Price of Pad Thai in my Chiang Mai neighborhood?   B40 to 50.

In some touristy diners, they often charge 80-90.

We also need the baked-beans-on-toast index. However, a lot of Thai cities may not serve any.

I tell them to omit the sugar.

Chiang Rai Big C food court, 65 baht. More posh restaurant, 100 - 130 baht.

IMO the price is governed by the number and size of prawns used. In pad thai goong, that is.

30 baht, Huai Krai,  Chiang Rai.   small informal restaurant.
