Best Tv Threads!

Featured Replies

Ok, we've seen the worst, what about the best? What are your favorite TV threads?

Mine: good books to read (I love these, as I'm always looking for new books)

Good places to eat

Where can I find --- (good when you're looking for that thing too)

Info about jobs, investments, etc

thai culture

and (the guilty pleasure section)

ridiculous situations (drama, dysfunction, oh my!): MTW, where did you go?

What about you?

I logged in for a chuckle so I like the fruitloop threads but the forum has a lot of very useful information in the archives.

The Thai language and travel threads are a good feature.

And Bedlam's good - get your count up, CG.

I miss MTW too, and Ruperts, Thaigoon, Pepe and Torito.

I like the "You Know When You've Been In Thailand Too Long..." threads. Always good for a chuckle, and sometimes someone comes up with something new. :o

Neither do I. I don't read yours eaither. (mine are beyond <deleted>...)

There is a great thread called "Thailand is down". It's a very interesting and informative read. :D

I read all of Kayo's post, simply for the sheer weight of interlectual information!

Nor do I. Repetitive band width wastes.

True.

Any thread which has been closed immediately grabs my attention when I'm clicking through the site. Most threads food / restaurant related too.

I agree closed threads are the best.

the next best are threads that require thought.

Also quirky threads like Weho posts.

Threads about ice hockey are very hard to find here I have noticed.

The best forum to get information about Visa rules,as well as general info about living in Thailand.Has interesting opinions about various topics. Most of the members seem helpful to others on serious issues.

Like the more serious threads in the General Topics section, although I too miss MTW's unique life experiences.Hope she comes back to TV.

It's here:

I love the threads that start with "How much money do I need to live in Thailand?" or "How much should I send my girlfriend?".

These two subjects alone are guaranteed to trigger a thunderous response. mostly off topic but great fun.

I prefer the blog section myself. There is more substance than in the forums. Some of the guys are pretty good storytellers too. OK they don't tell you where to buy pizza or condoms and all that important stuff but if you want more insight and have an attention span longer than an 8 year olds' you might try reading some of the blogs.

Speaking of attention span, I don't even know where to find blogs.

I like good blogs, too. Any recommendations ? Last time I looked, I remember noticing the huge number of people with blogs with only 1 entry.

What was the title of the thread, from perhaps about a year ago, where the guy was in the US, receiving emails from someone telling him his Thai wife was cheating on him ? It was quite gripping & there was a policeman and a damaged truck involved.

try clicking the tab named "Blogs" at the top menu bar... :o

Yes, said member (still active here on tv.com) has resolved his issues (not entirely to his liking) and since moved on.

As he's still an active member here (and friend of mine) I imagine he'd rather not dwell on bygones.

I regularly forget to bother with updating my blog. Though I do enjoy reading some of the stories I have posted on there in the past.

If you go to the blog section and look at the bottom of the page under blog stats you will find 4 different top 10 links. Try any or all. At least they are single entry blogs.

jas, you never saw my dancing elephant before?

Actually it ain't mine to be honest. I did a search for Pink Elephant smilies and that came up.

Dantilly, I love it!!

As for a future avatar? Might well be so...

Click, "image saved"! :D

Kayo - It's my first time.

I've been away from the site for a while, playing a bit of online chess instead. I'm not very good at that either.

This site seems to have improved since I was last here about three months ago. It might be the elephants influence.
