UN Report Warns Of Asia's Increasing Climate Crisis

webfact

Recommended Posts

Thailand will surely start when it is too late already, when the floods are drowning the country, heatwaves burns in the afternoons, and air pollution is at dangerous levels... As long none of this happens, nobody will take actions too.. That is the policy of the last years till recent and will go on and on.. In the rainy season we will surely read again about regions that are flooded, but the rain will solve the air pollution  and it will be les shot, and all problems are solved again for a few months...

Sure it's Thailand that is polluting the world with global climate change and of course the US, UK and Europe have totally all gone green and no fossil fuels anymore ? --yeah sure...go on.

You stated Asia was doing fine    now you are going off on a tangent . it was 108 the other day in Northern Thailand and the air quality was terrible Thailand is in Asia -Asia is not doing fine

Sorry it's California but Florida home insurance is doubling and tripling.

Which has to do "what" with rising sea levels and beach front properties?

FYI -  I lived in CA for 8 years and fires up and down the state were a problem as far back as I can remember.  For me that was close to 40 years ago - back when Fairfield was becoming a bedroom community for the Bay Area.  About 20 years later that was Sacramento.  Now its Lake Tahoe.  Let's not even talk about So. Cal 💗 and San Diego.  There are millions of new homes, a total lack of new PGE infrastructure (the old stuff keeps creating fires it seems), and then an eco-warrior mindset that seems to think that if enough "wild-fires" are set (another name for arson in the name of global warming) then the state will revert to neo-feudalism and force all the pleb into 15 minute cities where they can eat bugs and "be happy."  Insurance companies are happy to oblige.  I can remember back when there was a major "hill-fire" in Oakland.  All the houses on the hill-side were toasted -except one which was built by an engineer who engineered it - not to burn.  It can be done - but there's not will to do it.

For anyone mad enough to live in CA these day.  Sucks to be you.  I loved my time there but I'd never go back.

Let me know when the homes on Mission Beach can't get insurance because the polar ice caps are melting and nobody can sell because they can't get title insurance.

We are already there. We just normalise it now.

People die from pollution, a certain Thai city consistently ranks as the number one polluted city on earth during the season. The government asks workers to WFH, sucks to be you if you have to make a living on the street and die from the heat. But it's only 30 this heatwave so far today.
The Thai government is a circus of corruption and nothing will ever be done about it while there is a political skin on the line and a baht to be made.

the air pollution in thailand has very little to do with climate change.

"none of those beach front properties on the oceans could be insured"... some coastal property regions are becoming uninsurable in New Zealand.. but then in your world, maybe Thailand won't be affected by rising sea levels.. but if you ever did any research on these sorts of subjects, then you would know that sea level rise is a very slow but progressive fact... - it is the storms surges that are causing the most damage... not just going out and finding the sea level has gone up a few mm....

is that why when I went to the Maldives in 1989 they told me it would  be gone in 20 years................must be very slow rising  then, still good for handouts when they can blame "the west"....... then increase tourism massively, it aint sea level thats the problem there its ridiculous over building.

Still can now view the webcam on the very same beaches I walked down 36 years  ago, went from 60 odd  rooms to several hundred yet it remains the same size

The WMO of sourse!

With what purpose?

To CONTINUE TO SCARE THE POPULATION with wrong/false information and statements!

What is the meaning, the purpose of this "Fake New"?

"However, the WMO urges immediate action on reducing emissions and adapting to the climate changes."

This is so stupid it hurst!

If you think this is fake, you're in trouble.

So your view of a global problem is based on a prediction by one guy 20 years ago.

Sea levels have risen, but sea level rise is not a uniform process. Some places have higher increases than others. Moreover, the Maldives took the predictions seriously, and built seawalls to hold back the water.

The Maldives are sinking

You probably remember when it was claimed that Venice was sinking. It was, but billions were spent to offset the rising water.

This might be a lesson for you to understand the impact of a warming atmosphere.

Source?  It's hearsay without a source that explains the big picture.

Then wake me up when the Biden's, Obama's (including all the properties on Martha's Vineyard), and the Gore's properties are condemned as uninsurable - or - when the sell them and find they can't obtain title insurance.  Ain't gonna happen.

This reminds of the Denier movement of 20 years ago's mantra: "but Al Gore has a big house".

Of course, the Denier claims of 20 years ago are forgotten now, humorous in retrospect.

The air pollution is exacerbated by the heat, which is increasing.

i would say the heat factor accounts for about 5 percent of the problem. its always hot in thailand.

pollution in thailand is mainly caused by other factors.

From the linked article:

"In 2009, Al Gore loosely cited researchers and said there was a "75% chance" the ice could be gone during at least some summer months within five to seven years. "

He wasn't far off. Arctic sea ice is disappearing during summer months. New sea routes are opening up in the Arctic.

The big story is that the stuff he talked about 20 years ago have gotten much worse since then.

The Deniers back then said there was no warming. They've had to change their lies.

Apparently the plan is to bring in ***personal*** carbon credits - limits on consumption.

Rules will eventually be introduced (with "for the good of the environment" as the BS justification) and those rules will be enforced through CBDC digital money (once 'money' is fully electronic and paper cash is no longer accepted) as this fat <deleted> from the central bank of central banks explains.....

The true believers are morons who will unwittingly help ruin all of our lives.

Fight back and/or at least insist on using cash wherever possible.

I don't know what you are talking about, but it sounds like a conspiracy theory.

You are missing the main issue:

Because of manmade global warming, Arctic sea ice is disappearing during the summer.

You personally may be interested in whether the total disappearance happens this year, or in 5 years, but the actual date that the Arctic is ice free is not important, except to Climate Change Deniers.

Do you understand that the atmosphere is warming due to manmade pollution?

Or are you just fixated on one statement by Al Gore that has paralyzed your thinking?

you make a lot of assumptions. stop.

Perhaps you don't understand the basic science well enough.

Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide is increasing, and warming the planet.

perhaps you mistake me for someone who gives a shhhhhhhh. again you really need to stop making assumptions. it's getting quite boring.
