Drawing pen for Windows Paint and Paint 3D ?

One of my kids is a bit artistic and uses Windows paint to create some quite good pictures and designs.

 

Unfortunately we only have a mouse and keyboard so is limited to what she can create. 

 

I'm thinking that adding a touch pen to use as a drawing tool would open up more possibilities and make it all more interesting for her.

 

Is it possible, and what would I need to add a drawing pen to my existing computer?

You would need a drawing tablet and pen which could connect to your pc or android through BT or via usb cable.

 

• XP-Pen - sell them is available in MBK mall on the top floor where one can try and sample a suitable device. Some of them can work with windows, android.
• Wacom products are available with JIB, Banana, ITCity etc.... in the PC malls or on their  websites.

I forgot, do you have a touch screen?

I use an HP Pavilion with touch screen and have a Wacom drawing tablet as a backup. Of course the HP is much more expensive having a dedicated touchscreen but it's much easier to use. The Wacom takes some getting used to, hence the delegation to backup only.

 

Keep in mind, those pens can get expensive so don't lose them.

 

Also, look into Krita software. Free, legitimate open source yet extremely powerful.

I don't  have a touch screen so looks like I need to get additional drawing tablet with pen  

 

I'm guessing that whatever is drawn on the tablet can/will come up on the computer 24in monitor .

 

Will follow up on your info so far, any more suggestions and ideas still welcome

I use a Huion tablet 1060 plus - I didn’t have the use or the money for a Wacom and this came recommended, I’m happy with it, have had it for 5 years. Sometimes

the drivers need reinstalling but it’s ok for the money.
