Any violation of the Law against minors should be judged on the basis of Anti-Terrorism Law and not by the criminal "general" law.

Τhe sentences should be over 10 years on the basis of anti-terror Law and I write it because in European "paradise" we officially have paedophile political Party as it already exist in Holland -German etc.

In Greece we have many "great boys" who are in prison because they kill or rape.....children or worst minors but don΄t take it seriously enough because they initially are condemned by 10 years and.....they actually stay at prisons corrections centre 5 years and......after 2 years they take leaves from corrections centres (prisons).....in order to continue their actions.

If you tell something against them because they stay too little time at prisons then officially accused you that you .....speak Russian or antisemitism ......(Europeans clowns)

Personally I have written many mails to our Judges and officially to our Prime Minister -Minister of Justice that:

Anyone who bothers still with messages and disturb minors or children or rape/kill women and seniors above of 70 years old then  the Court to judge them based on the Anti-Terrorism Law with mandatory prison terms of at least 10 plus years in order nowadays to avoid 2-5 years unacceptable imprisonment sentences and "that΄s all".

Α year ago in Greece the Police Department had arrested someone who rapes many -many -many times 3-4 years a 12 years old girl and in addition accused him for child prostitution to....others.

The "smart guy" is in prison but don΄t take it seriously enough because he has political "support" and after one or two years he will be released taking prison΄s clearance to continue his actions with other children.

Do we talk seriously?

“He was interviewed and spoke freely, admitting to the possession of indecent images of children. He stated that there would be thousands of images and videos on his hard drive, categorised into folders.”

The court was informed that the total haul amounted to 272,936 photos and 4,001 clips.

 

Initially bailed and ordered to remain in Scotland, Heddle’s depravity was further exposed when three videos of him allegedly abusing a child in Chon Buri, Thailand, were found. Identified by his distinctive wedding ring and the hair on his fingers, the footage showed the assault on the sleeping child in 2019. Heddle reportedly confessed during an interview, verifying himself as the perpetrator.

 

Additional checks of his phone uncovered further contact offences involving another young female. Despite being on bail, Judge John McCormick has remanded Heddle in custody, emphasising the change in his legal status.

 

Detective Inspector Adrian Ure of Police Scotland’s national child abuse investigations unit issued a comment.

“We understand how distressing this has been for the girl and her family. We hope that the knowledge of his guilty plea will at least provide some comfort to them.

 

Police Scotland is committed to protecting children and pursued Heddle under legislation safeguarding children worldwide from sexual abuse by British nationals.”

 

Heddle has also been placed on the sex offenders register and awaits sentencing next month, reported BBC News.

Thai government and police deserve some valid criticism, just like every other country, but tell me where else in the world can you walk down the street and have the occasional police officer salute you without being prompted or spoken to? ... If you find it that hard to respect Thailand warts and all then do us all a favor and leave.

That wasn’t what I said, I was giving an example of sexual attraction (or lack of it) using the scenario by the OP. And yes,there is no correlation between being gay and a paedophile.
