After 60 Days What Do I Do

Featured Replies

OK, I know this question must have been asked and answered 1,000 times, but I'll be damned if I can find the answer here. All I could find is something about the new changes only affect those with entry stamps, and I have to find another way, but nothing on what that way is.

I've been here for a little over 60 days, whats next? Is it a run to Laos? I'm in Chiangmai.

I'm American, and 27. I want to stay here for a couple years, and am open to different suggestions. I have begun looking for a way to get a student visa, but I don't know how hard it is to enroll at a University. I saw the ad on the home page, suggesting a thai language school and student visa, however they are in BKK. What are my options, what next?

Thanks so much!

Immediately the best thing is probably to obtain a tourist visa from Vientiane. That will give you 60 + 30 days to check on other options such as student.
