snoop1130
The Bank of Thailand will release ten million special 100-baht banknotes to celebrate the King's 72nd birthday on July 28. These notes will be available from July 23. The banknotes' design is different from others in circulation in Thailand since they have a portrait layout instead of the usual landscape one. This unique design was revealed by the Bank of Thailand's Governor, Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput. They have been printed using advanced technology on a polymer material, which is durable and hard to forge. Alongside the banknotes, two million pamphlets will be available for purchase at 10 baht each. All proceeds from these sales will be given to the King. The special banknotes can be bought at all commercial and government-run banks, including the Government Savings Bank, the Government Housing Bank, the Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, and the Islamic Bank of Thailand. Hunz Kittisak
Commemorative notes are effectively the treasury giving you printed paper in exchange for your money since most of these notes would never be spent
