We currently hold Retirement Type O Visa's but will expire this October. Due to the strong Baht we do not want to transfer money from the US to a Thai bank. We read that a Non-Immigrant Type O Multi-entry visa can be obtained at an embassy outside of Thailand. We also know that certain countries do not issue this type of visa. Does anyone know of an embassy in a neighboring Thai country that we can obtain this? Can we change from a retirement visa to a Non-Immigrant multi-entry visa? If obtaining the Non-Immigrant type O visa I read that we can exit/entry every 90 days by the Chiang Mai/Mae Sai visa run. Has anyone done this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Singapore will issue with proof of 800k in a bank account in your name and a current statement within the month. Penang may do the same but nobody has reported yet using a foreign account there.

A multi entry visa only permits a stay of 90 days. You must then exit, stamp into another country and stamp out/enter to obtain another 90 day stay. You must be able to show 20k baht (or 40K baht for family) if asked.
