Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well. I am in need of some advice and would greatly appreciate your input.

My friend, Apple, is currently taking care of 14 rescued dogs in Thailand.

These dogs have been saved from the streets or abandoned by their previous owners.

Unfortunately, Apple is facing financial difficulties and is struggling to provide enough food for these dogs.

I am considering reaching out to dog food manufacturers like SmartHeart and others to ask for assistance, such as donations or discounts on dog food. However, I am not sure how to approach this or if there are other better options available.

Has anyone here had experience with a similar situation or have any advice on how to best proceed? Any tips on how to effectively communicate with these companies or alternative solutions would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you in advance for your support and suggestions.

Best regards,
Jack

Just release them back to the streets. There's a 10 millions stray dogs in the Thailand and they are doing just fine.

By locking 14 of them in your backyard you are not helping anybody. You are just locking 14 of them in your backyard.

I suggest you contact one of the charities here that looks after street dogs for advice.

The Man That Rescues Dogs (TMTRD) foundation looks after more than 1,000 street dogs on a tight budget.  https://www.facebook.com/tmtrdorg

The Soi Dog foundation is a well established charity.  https://www.soidog.org/

Happy Doggo is a newer charity, and I don't know much about it, but they claim to feed 800 dogs daily in Koh Samui.  https://www.happydoggo.com/

TMTRD says that monthly it feeds:

- Boiled rice 6,000 kilo
- Dry food 8,000 kilo
- Meat 1,000 kilo

So, if you're not doing so already, don't just give dry food - add a lot of cooked rice.
