Yes, there are a few companies that run ferries from Phuket to Krabi. Just be sure to check their reviews on Trip Advisor, Google). I'm not sure if the ferries run in low season, but they definitely do in high season.

While in Krabi, be sure to visit Koh Lanta's Long Beach if you are after some peace and quiet.

Please be sure to add references when citing reviews of a business. Especially if those reviews are negative. Let the reviews tell the story rather than making potentially libelous statements yourself.

Koh Lanta is another Island around 60kms from Krabi town.....and Long Beach is peaceful as there are few tourists there and the reason is........

You can go Bang Ron pier to Koh yao noi then further on to Ao Nang. Probably the easiest maybe.

You could go via Kho Phii Phii

Yes, as mentioned above Tigerline from the Rassada Pier, Phuket town.

Low season schedules might get tricky, also be aware the Andaman sea facing coasts of Krabi and Lanta take a beating during low season as well as garbage blows in. i.e. I know Hat Napparat at this point probably has minimal, wet sand and will have a bit of trash. Lanta gets real quiet.
