So he was bitten by a King Cobra, and they show picture of a Spitting Cobra  🤔    I have only known one person bitten by a Cobra, and he was lucky it only had one fang.  He is a big guy and described it like he had the most vivid dreams, in color, and was able to talk to people , but not see them.  After a couple weeks of anti-venom, he came out of it, he had dropped about 45lbs, and even now, 10 years later, he has to take medication, and get anti-venom shots 3 or 4 times a year.  The venom wrecks your immune system.

It wrecks your nervous system because cobra venom is mainly neurotoxic. I also find it highly unlikely that he had to receive antivenom for months after a bite, leave alone several times a year because the antivenom neutralizes the venom. Once that's done, it's done!

They mentioned resuscitation, so presumably they were performing CPR for 30 minutes until they could get him proper medical care.  Possibly the CPR didn't work properly for whatever reason and he ended up brain damaged.

Not sure why they think he's going to recover.  Perhaps he can breath unassisted even though there's nothing going on in conscious part of the brain?

If he was without oxygen for 30 minutes there is no hope sadly.

Haven't they done brain activity testing so they can inform the family.

All in all a very sad story.

Can't understand why they don't have full time people to remove snakes from places and more places don't have antivenom available. They are literally everywhere and yet it seems to be volunteers that get called to remove them instead of someone employed by the local authority.

You can purchase Heparin on Lazada.

Given that you're not an expert: you cannot buy Heparin injections at Lazada.

You need at least 10.000 units of Heparin as initial dose, administered by Health care professionals (doctors).

Also, it is a study by Aus/Brit doctors and have to be verified. It seems to work as antidote but includes risks.

I don't recall claiming to be an expert.
