No tech for that unfortunately. Try to power a Canadian winter with current solar tech.

More energy hits the earth every day than we would currently know what to do with.

However greed is a funny thing.

There are actually two paths. There's a project for powering Singapore from solar farms in Australia via cable.

The second path is electrolysis of seawater ( we have plenty of that too } to produce hydrogen, convert to ammonia for transport. Pilot stage at present.

coming in a decade or 2 to a planet near you. i wonder if big money could speed that up. sure it could.

those paths you are presenting - singapore australia - are only tiny numbers of the whole pie. good thing for me ill probably be around to actually live through it. most here won't.

Are there any renewable projects in the Bay of Fundy? Canada has plenty of coastline, even if it doesn't get much sun.

It's kinda like taxes. Just fudge it a little to get what they want. Or is it a case of thermometer cancel culture?

Cancel culture is a weaponized term used by the far right only.

Kinda hard to fudge temperatures as they are measured by dozens of countries around the world. Impossible.

not sure about fundy. the tide there is the biggest in the world i know that. for perspective they used to be able to power a large portion of my province here in ontario with niagara falls hydro power. with the population now that is impossible as the power demand far exceeds the supply available.

they are dredging a canal system out near a university here just now to increase the flow for hydro generation. but its simply a drop of what is actually needed.

as it stands winter in canada wins over any and all renewable tech available by a landslide. this is not going to change for a long long time unless there are major breakthroughs and a huge injection of free capital.

they are having ongoing issues with the EV cars as well here.

Batteries don't like cold, and the range is reduced. Careful now, you'll have the electric Jesus fanboys after your hide.

Although it's a term stated by the right, it is practise by the left only!

Temperature graphs can be made to say whatever they want. Anyway it doesn't matter, the world is ending in 13 year apparently.

we need a solar collector in space and have it redirected to a point on earth. isn't that a super villain plan to take over the world ?

or cold fusion will do fine. provided the greedy energy companies are willing to go bankrupt.

Started by the right and only used by those who've drank the kool-aid.

You obviously don't visit reliable sources for your information

Thanks. Except climate change is measured as long-term temperature change globally (think over 100 years), not in one country or in one season.

Appreciate the participation though.
