Cannabis Warehouse Fire Causes Over 3 Million Baht in Damages
Picture courtesy of Khoasod A fire broke out at a cannabis cultivation warehouse, resulting in damages exceeding 3 million baht. Firefighters rushed to the scene and battled the blaze, with an initial investigation pointing to an electrical short circuit as the likely cause. At 07:25 on September 15, Police Lieutenant Thanyaphisit Muangchan, investigator at Thalang Police Station, Phuket, responded to a fire at a warehouse in Sri Sunthon subdistrict. Local fire departments from Sri Sunthon and Choeng Thale municipalities were called in to extinguish the flames. The warehouse, used for cultivating cannabis, was engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke billowing from the structure. The facility was equipped with an automatic system controlling essential operations such as watering and temperature regulation. Firefighters worked to douse the flames inside the warehouse while others searched for openings to release the smoke and further contain the fire. It took over 45 minutes for the firefighters to bring the blaze under control. The fire is believed to have originated from an electrical short circuit, as the first responders found the electrical control panel ablaze upon arrival. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. Phuket forensic teams will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. The warehouse had been rented by 29-year-old Isarapong (surname withheld) for over a year to grow cannabis. Trump: “There Will Be No Third Debate!”
Thank God for the split screen. First, Harris' facial expression/body language (hand under chin, my favorite) reflect that of the average sane (read non-maga) viewer: bemused, incredulous, etc.. When it comes to her turn to speak, she communicates directly with said viewer, pointing to the "former prez" and looking at the camera, asking "did you see what I just saw? hear what I just heard?" - the answer is a resounding "yes", we all just saw/heard Trump prancing around inside his looney bin rattling his toy. Another Harris tactic that should be pointed out, she did not rebutt him (for example, when he called her a Marxist.) Had she done so, she would have stooped down to his level and thus she would have left the viewer side and climbed into Trump's looney bin to do battle with him. Noo, no. Remember the saying, don't argue with stupid, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience. (Plenty of such illustrations when one chooses to engage in a debate with bot trolls.) The debate therefore, has come down to, before debating any plan or policy, a choice between the sane and the insane. Trump, inspite of his advancing age, has yet - too late now - to differentiate the Donald Trump that he sees of himself, to the Donald Trump that other people see of him. It's called self-awareness... Without that, another debate will be just like "Aliens" the sequel.- 1

EXPAT TAXATION - Does anyone really know what's going on?
What gets me is that credible people are correctly saying that the tax situation will be an individual thing and it will be impossible to announce full conclusions that will be correct for everyone's specific financial situation. Then they say to pay for personal advice. But the final rules are not even set and we have no understanding of how any of this will actually be enforced, or not once they are set. So let's say you pay for personal advice now. It's my impression that given how ambiguous this all still is, that if you paid for such personalized advice from five given "experts" now that you would most likely get five different "expert" opinions. I'm sure this is a going to be a bonanza for such "experts" but at least at this stage, this is a completely ridiculous situation. I will be willing to pay for such advice from a well referred "expert" at a later time when the odds are higher that they actually know how things actually are going to be. Now seems wildly premature. I reckon I will probably end up paying more for advice than tax though which is kind of absurd. RANT OVER. -

It looks like we will never know who was actually behind it. It could be a coalition of garbage republicans like Cheney and garbage democrats of which there are just too many to name. Add into the mix any coalition of letter agency heads and perhaps even foreign influences. Maybe powerful bankers and assorted other interests who are profiting from the combination of earning interest on printed money which is funneled into the defense industry for the manufacture of weapons for endless wars.- 1

Two house bricks maybe? The law now has it that you can view the goods before you accept the delivery. I do that now if i am somewhat scepticle to what the package has in it. Delivery guys are swearing as they leave the house if it is not what i expected it to be.- 1

Chonburi Police Arrest over 20 Indians in Call Center Scam Raid
Police in Chonburi, in collaboration with Chonburi Immigration, have arrested over 20 Indian nationals suspected of running a call center scam targeting fellow Indians. On September 13, 2024, Pol. Col. Phasakorn Paichit reported that Pol. Col. Wattanachai Saengrit led a team from the Chonburi Police and Immigration units to execute a search warrant at a house in Najomtien, Sattahip District. They had received information that several Indian nationals were suspected of illegal activities. Picture courtesy: Naew Na During the search, officers found Mr. Morvadiya, a 20-year-old Indian national, who identified himself as the owner of the house. In addition, 23 other Indian men were present. The authorities also confiscated over 20 computers. All of the Indian nationals were taken to Najomtien Police Station for questioning regarding their involvement with the call center scam. Further investigation revealed that 12 of the Indian nationals were residing in Thailand illegally. They were charged with unlawful entry and remaining in the Kingdom without permission. Legal action will be taken against them accordingly. The confiscated computers will also be examined to determine if they were used in the call center scam or other fraudulent activities, with further legal action to follow if necessary. Thailand Sets Sights on Becoming Top Destination for Indian Film Productions
There are only a few Thai production companies capable of outfitting major productions, A Grand Elephant, Living Films, and Greenlight. Maybe Hub Ho Hin. Oriental Post and Kantana provide meaningful large scale post production facilities. Might be wrong but I think Technicolor closed up operations in Bangkok. Lots of smaller boutique services, especially for animation. But the point is for the scale this article mentions, plus existing commitments, there likely aren't enough in place services ready. -
