Severe Flooding Outside Chiang Rai Airport Leads to Cancellations of Flights
Picture from Facebook user. Heavy flooding has struck the area outside Mae Fah Luang Airport in Chiang Rai, leading to the cancellation of all flights to and from the province for September 12. Both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports in Bangkok have announced the suspension of all domestic flights destined for Chiang Rai. A Facebook user, Nittaya Namwiset, shared images of the flood outside Mae Fah Luang Airport, located in Ban Du, Mueang District, Chiang Rai. The images showed the airport’s access road completely submerged, blocking the entrance. The accompanying post read, "The water came very quickly this year, and it's much worse than before." In addition to these disruptions, Mae Fah Luang Airport itself announced that VietJet and Lion Air have canceled all flights to and from Chiang Rai until further notice. Passengers with other airlines are advised to wait for official updates regarding their flights. -- 2024-09-12 Get the ASEAN NOW daily NEWSLETTER - Click HERE to subscribe -

Lloyds International Bank Offshore
I got replies to both emails, one saying ring the telephone banking number, the other one more promising as it asked was I in a quiet room, did I type or speak the number. I did reply but that was late in the evening so probably close to closing time in the UK, I will wait until this evening again which will be after lunch in the UK and try your Skype suggestion. What is worrying is that they never mentioned any problems at their end which hints it's at my end. I've tried again this morning but the call doesn't arrive, just the waiting circle on my laptop. I did also send the screenshots of yesterdays attempt which shows I did input the correct 4 digit number. I've also made and received calls using my number to check the sim/phone is working ok. I may swap the sim to my old phone to to definitely eliminate any issue with my phone. -
