Jersey_UK
Just curious.......... I recall a couple of years ago driving past a Dealer showroom that had what looked like brand new London Black Taxicabs for sale. My initial thought was "that was strange", and then I thought "why not". But I do not recall ever seeing any in use in Bangkok. I guess they are not cheap in Thailand (I presume not made locally?), so to warrant a showroom I figure their must be a demand.........I am just stumped as to what - surely not private cars? Any ideas folks?

Jersey_UK
See below:-Regards London Taxi Service in Bangkok Maybe it was their depot / cum showroom I saw? Can't say I understand the attraction of sitting in the back of a Black cab instead of a Toyota.......but I guess the locals would find it bizarre to find Farang who liked Tuk Tuks in farangland

Fred Sanford
I saw one in use the other night and was quite shocked by it. It was dropping off passengers at the Ambassador hotel.

IMA_FARANG
Seen them at the old airport a few times.. As I recall it was an idea of some Thai businessman that maybe tourists would like the idea of taking a London cab from the airport. Don't think it ever made it to the new airport, however. It was just a gimmick, and i think the price was too high for most people.
