Should be an interesting match later today. Predict City to win 1 - 3, but you never know with football. Will Chelsea be more of an organized team? Expecting City to bring in 1 or 2 more decent player

  • The Brazilian kid starts.

Not creating many chances. It would be helpful to have Cole Palmer and Julián Álvarez.

Sancho looks the real deal at Chelsea too. I'd pick him over Doku.

Not a Man City fan (Spurs unfortunately....) but collected just over £300 on them this evening. Thought they were due to give someone a spanking so backed them minus 1 goal, minus 2 and minus 3. Never in doubt and the winnings will pay for a few nights out when I travel back to Thailand in a couple of weeks.

Spurs are not having it all their own way this season. Played some decent footy, and scored plenty of goals, but??!!

Quite cold here Keeps.

Where exactly in the EPL did Man City finish in the last three years?

And your team?

Tough way to start for Maresca. The Gunners are gonna be a bitter pill this year.

Losing Pep and now Rodri. Big losses.

Big losses indeed! The Gunners set to rule for the next 5 years then?

According to Phil McNulty (BBC main footy guy), the top doggies of old, will fill all the top places in the coming season. No room for the Black Cats, Cherries or Seagulls.

And would you Adam and Eve it, he reckons the three new boys, will all go down.

Is it all gonna revert to being that predictable again?

I guess the race for CL football will be the most interesting.

Oh, well. There's always the EFL. 👍

I thought that last season was the start of the 'smaller club' emergence. Although Villa could hardly be called small, they broke through. Cherries were just a couple of wins away from CL football. Palace took the FA Cup.

I'm hoping that this coming season will be much the same as last. Every time one of the 'also-rans' roll over a top dog; I'll be cheering. I'm not a Tiger or Black Cat supporter, but I'll be rooting for them when they play a big boy. Riversiders and Foxes; where are you?

Also in Scotland. Jam Tarts came so close to breaking the 40+ year Glasgow monopoly. I'm hoping they can rise again. Maybe also Motherwell.

However, this is a City thread, and it's worth remembering that it was not that long ago that they were also on the fringes. During the past 15 years they have been magnificent. Only finishing outside the top three once; the season Foxes took the title.

But it's now 2026/27. Come on you Cherries.

I'll be keeping an eye on the EFL & especially Championship. Interesting to see how The Irons fair. I believe 10th amazingly qualifies for play-offs too.

10th??? I thought it was 8th. Have to check.

I see the Championship as competitive as ever this coming seasson. Clarets, Boro, Irons and the other Londoners all in with a chance.

I want to see The Dragons make it. Along with Lincoln and Millwall. Bit of wishful that. But yer never know.

Be interesting to see how The Owls get on in the 3rd down. I'll be rooting for Hornchurch in the National League. Off to a good start.
