Tesla will be making reasonably priced cars soon enough.

As for the H-1B visas.  Do they just want cheap but talented slave labor, or do they actually pay people the going rate? Or is the going rate reduced because of all the people on the visas?

There's some evidence the Chinese are subsidizing their EV industry, much like the Japanese did with ICE's. Same aim, to dominate the market.

People on visas have their minimum wages set by the Department of Labor, being paid more is presumably a measure of demand.

The H-1B visas are all about getting foreign scientists and engineers,

America First?

Liar.

This is basically the Conman telling you you're going to get ripped off on this deal.

The Timeshare Salesmen told us "America First" in order to get the deal but after the ink is dry they tell you they won't be installing that swimming pool and you're going to have to be happy playing in that dirty field that the immigrants they're hiring <deleted> in, as is their custom back home.

Go <deleted> yourself America Hater.

Trump kept claiming for four years he was going to announce his health care plan in "two weeks".

Now he says "never".

Elon Musk has long expressed his ambition to produce affordable electric vehicles.

In 2006.

How's he going to build cheap Teslas?

In China, of course.

Don't worry, when that happens Trump will drop tarrifs to 0%.

Suckers. 😂

Actually, I think Musk Tesla will be building reasonably priced Teslas in Texas.  They have the capacity. Excess capacity.  I think Musk wants to fast track the RoboTaxi project, so that might take precedence for the time being.  We'll see.

It's like the old joke about the company that claims they're selling it to you "wholesale".  If they're selling it to you for wholesale, how do you make a profit?

"Volume"

Explain in 20 words or less why the World Richest man would want to make LESS PROFIT rather than MORE PROFIT.

Anyone with any business sense would know that a lower MSRP means LOWER profit PER UNIT SOLD, not more.

That's the reason why MAGA is so easy to fool, because they don't know anything about business or Billionaires. 😧

It helps to have a vision and understand the big picture.  And for Musk, the big picture extends beyond making cars.  Full scale driving, Robo taxis, and robotics, for example.  Trillions of dollars of value not currently reflected in the stock price because analysts only see numbers on their spreadsheets and continue to see Tesla as only a car company. Big mistake, but an opportunity for investors who can see the big picture.

Anyway, with more Teslas  on the road, more data is gathered for the FSD software.  That's what makes it work. Data.  Even if Tesla makes little or no money selling cars, the company gains value.  And at this point, Tesla is pretty much the only game in town in terms of the USA EV market.  GM can't compete.  We've seen that.  Ditto  for Ford.

If you don't understand all of that, you might want to do a little research.
