I need a pressure washer to clean the mould off the dividing walls between our neighbours, but I hear that these washers give problems after some use. Do you have a model that's been trouble free?

Easily, you adjust the spray nozzle accordingly, DONT put it on a single stream or it will take cement off the floor!! And certainly grout between tiles,! Use a wide spray and focus down, but don't go too far or will penetrate.

I have a Karcher K5 compact.

145 bar pressure and 500lt/hr flow rate, goes good.

Water cooled motor too so can use for hours without concern it over heats.

The key to avoiding "problems after some use" is to drain all the lines before you disconnect and coil them up for storage. Also, smear some silicon grease around the bayonet fittings to stop corrosion and on the o-rings to stop them drying out. Clean the main inlet filter (where the supply hose clips on) as that can fill up with algae after the fact. Also, if being stored in an area where critters and bugs are about, wrap the ends of connectors and extensions tightly in plastic bags to prevent insects making homes or leaving eggs in the fittings. They like narrow, dark spaces!

I have had a Takara Saturn 3 for 6 years and never had a problem. Cannot remember how powerful or the price but it is good for taking mould off concrete that we have to do twice every wet season. @NanLaew advice is spot on.

Most of the problems with decent quality pressure washers is poor water supply. Running them choked for water is like running an engine choked for oil.

I have a badass John Deere

Even the better quailty ones will pack up if you don't use them regularly.  Calcium is their biggest enemy.

I've used mine once or twice a year for 15-20 years and it's been okay.

We have well water than tends to corrode everything outside. We use a softener inside so all the taps are bright and sparkly but e cement paths outside are filthy after 13 years of rain etc and 2 -3 different pressure washers that seize up quickly.

I started with a cheap 1500 one from Lazada it worked well, it still does, but have graduated to a much higher powered one that really does the business, I have added a 30~50 meter pipe so the roofs can be done easily

this is the second one.
