Yesterday, vendors from Phuket's Fresh Market 2 rallied at Phuket Provincial Hall, calling on officials to waive parking fees and extend the opening hours of the new Go Wholesale mall. The vendors, alongside the Kon Noom Team, delivered a formal request to Monchai Sae-Lao, Director of the Provincial Ombudsman’s Centre, who accepted it on behalf of Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat.

The vendors argue that the current 6am to 10am operating hours of Go Wholesale, located on Ong Sim Pai Road, clash with those of Fresh Market 2, jeopardising their sales. They stress that many vendors depend on these sales to support their families and adjusting the mall's hours could help alleviate financial pressure.

In addition, the vendors are pushing for the Phuket City Municipality to eliminate parking fees around Fresh Market 2, believing that this would attract more customers and boost local business.

Monchai assured the group that their concerns would be addressed with the relevant parties, including mall operators and municipal representatives, to find a balanced solution. "We will take your concerns seriously and work towards finding a resolution that benefits all parties involved," he stated.
