The Hong Kong Government got fed up with the behaviour of HK taxi drivers, so here’s what they did about it: a penalty points-based system that could lead to fines, bans and imprisonment.

Reckon it’d work here in Thailand? Or not even get off the ground…

Very good idea and now China is more and more taking control of its " errant state and citizens " can be implemented more easily

It is far too complicated for Thailand to manage. Anything of substantial complexity just seems to fall apart for them.

 

I can think of three different ways that politicians can make money from this scheme. Once they figure that out, they will start to enrich themselves and the whole thing will collapse.
 

1. Take bribes under the table from accused taxi drivers, to make their accusation just disappear.

 

2. Take kickbacks from the company hired to create the database that manages this whole. 
 

3. Take a kickback from companies competing to create the training class, in order to award the contract.
