Travelling during Iran Israel crisis to and from Europe.
EVA Air. Last night's flight from LHR to BKK arrived BKK today only 2 minutes late. Today's flight from BKK to LHR departed BKK 2 minutes early and is due to land at LHR in about 40 minutes, which will be 30 minutes ahead of schedule. I am keeping an eye on things as I will be flying LHR to BKK in 3 weeks time. -

I call it brilliant and compassionate. Instead of risking hundreds of collateral damage injuries, the Israelis targeted only the key terrorists. Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah launch thousands of missiles, rockets and drones. The targets are indiscriminate. No one questions that strategy. Electric scooter inferno: Sattahip park blaze leaves metal carnage
No mention of make/model, or even what type of battery the scooter had; lead acid, gem, or lithium, and if so, what chemistry. Apparently it was being charge, and no mention if any modifications were made to the scooter. Guess we'll need to wait for the follow up report ... oh wait, that will never happen, especially if it wasn't a lithium battery. -

Vance has been a willing and active echo chamber for all of Trump's most recent notable and well documented lies: --the [not] stolen 2020 presidential election --Haitians immigrants [not] eating stolen dogs and cats --the false claims about vast numbers of undocumented resident/criminals running loose because of the Biden admin. And that's just the short list.... Vance has been an active participant and in some cases instigator of them. If he lives in the Philippines, he should be getting the full pension including the increases. If he hasn't been - he should start complaining loudly - that they don't know their own rules. Maybe they don't believe that he is living in the Philippines because he's using a UK bank account still. Probably should open a bank account there and get his pension paid into it (should be easy to do if he's living there on a retirement visa of some sort). -

On 2. Whether you're married or not makes no difference. Your state pension dies with you. If you have a defined benefit pension from your company, or an annuity, then that can sometimes be set up to still pay a full or partial pension to a surviving spouse - so not being married means she could lose out in that circumstance - but not for the state pension. The bigger issue if you're not being married (depending on the value of your estate) is possibly inheritance taxes. If you've got enough assets (worldwide) to be liable. Possible example would be if you have a house in the UK that you're leaving to your kids, and you go over the inheritance tax threshold, not being married could mean that the executor asks for money from her based on the value of what you've left her. Where if you're married, it's tax exempt. -

Interesting that one of the words came out of Vance's mouth in response was "Censorship!" - to excuse his "damning non-answer." Then the refusal to engage, "We've talked about it, I'm happy to talk about it further - " but not right now, not right here at the debate, right Vance? It's Vance's own "Haitians are eating dogs and cats" moment. That question shouldn't have caught him off-guard. Or maybe he didn't prep, a la Trump? -

What are you talking about All income is taxable including state pension once you go over the Personal allowance in total no matter what the origin of that income If you dont want next Aprils rise am sure many charities will happily accept it even if the Tories (and not Labour) froze the personal allowances level previously whilst in power- 1

UK frozen pension returning to UK and going overseas again at a later date!
When I returned to live in the UK I was automatically entitled on day one to receive NHS care. Also from day one my pension was increased to the non frozen amount, thus increasing by a large % amount, if I had returned to a frozen pension country within 2 yrs of returning to the UK my pension would have reverted to the frozen amount, as it is I’ve remained her since my return receiving a nearly 100% increase in state pension.
