That looks terrible for Kodi. If using Kodi set it up to display media artwork and synopsis for each movie or TV series.

Don't be so arrogant and presumptuous. It's up to the individual to decide, not you.

I don't want media artwork for those files.

I have that in another section.

@tomgreen needed a solution to their quest, rather than to read about the idiosyncrasies of individuals in unrelated matters.

Your app idea doesn't work for them. Why are you still pushing it?

The CX File Explorer App would work beautifully for them. It would be much better than Plex or Kodi for a beginner. They just need to get an android box, easy to do.

Well, you have to add all the files to the Kodi app, if you have thousands of films it takes time. You have to set up the file sharing on the pc and add Kodi as a source. Kodi wasn't originally meant to stream from pc to tv, it was media player for the Xbox. I like it better than Plex I woudn't say it's a breeze to use or set up.

No you don't. You can just add the folder and your done. You can go out to eat. No need to sit there, so you don't lose any time.

What's with all of your negativity anyway?

Or, you get the CX File Explorer app and you don't have to bother with any of that. You just go straight into your laptop storage.

A perfect solution.

It doesn't work. Get over it. It was a useless suggestion then and is still a useless suggestion now. Android is not involved in any way. None.
