A fire broke out at a condo in the heart of Bangkok on the evening of September 25, causing a swift response from emergency services. Three people were found suffering from smoke inhalation, including a pregnant woman. The fire was at a condominium in the Bang Khun Si subdistrict of Bangkok Noi.

The fire was seen coming from the windows of a unit on the fifth floor, with thick smoke billowing out. Firefighters initially used external hose-lines to contain the fire, as responders in breathing apparatus entered the building and lead the 3 persons to safety and successfully extinguishing the fire without it spreading.

The three individuals, two men and one pregnant woman, suffered from smoke inhalation. All were experiencing chest tightness and difficulty breathing. They were taken to Siriraj Hospital for medical attention by volunteers from a local rescue foundation.

The fire was contained within the bedroom, with some heat and smoke damage to the rest of unit. There was minimal smoke into the communal corridor and no other units were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
