Photo-story - Where my bike’s been
I’d planned a long ride to the boondocks, with a bonus dubious gravel road right at the furthest point, and returning via Rawang Bypass, which is such a high viaduct that you need oxygen. My buddy nixed the bypass, and I argued only perfunctorily. The pilot was obviously back in town since he posted a ride on Saturday, and I asked if he was up for something longer “Aye - but nothing mucky” Well, we’d see, eh? It was only a few km more to stick on tarmac. He seemed well enough, but I was looking forward to turning for home as we passed the gravel road entrance, and I was in no mind for the extra effort of a dirt road that may or may not be duly passable. The pilot was in the lead, so I held my peace. In retrospect, we should’ve chanced our arm at the underpass at Rasa Station, and taken KTMB home, but nobody was complaining , so we carried on to Highway 1 to home. I was counting down the kilometres, the pilot started to suffer from cramp, and we were all glad to take it easy… We stopped at a service station before Rawang - the pilot was suffering - my buddy and I were on the brink of boxing over the sole curry puff “but he needs it more than we do”, and conflict was avoided. There were three seats inside the service station, but one was taken by a lady cyclist “We didn’t see your bike outside” ”I’ve already put it in my car” See if I was going to put my bike in the car to go for a ride? I’d not be cycling on Highway 1. Fair enough though, she was at the end of a ride that was longer than ours would be, and looked more recovered than we would be till much, much later in the evening. The pilot was spark out outside - his chest was moving, so I was not too concerned. He felt better after the curry puff. As we carried on towards Templar Hill, it started to hiss down persistent precipitation, and we stopped under a bus shelter with the motorcyclists; the pilot needed assistance to dismount due to cramp. By the time the rain eased off, the salty curry puff was kicking in, and we struggled over the hill, and then gently homeward. The highlight of the day was getting to the pub an hour behind schedule, but if I’d drunk less, I’d have checked and been happier that the pilot got home safely. Anyway, he did, so all’s well that ends well. It’s always great to struggle through a ride that entails a bit of suffering, but the pilot took that suffering for the team. Looking forward, I think he might ask more questions about the route before he commits. -

No, and the format is reasonable. Nigel Farage had one of the strongest Reform votes, yet won his seat with a minority of the votes, less than 50%. Where Reform had strong showings, it was still trounced by Labour. Reform came second place in 98 constituencies. In 89 of these cases, it was second to Labour. 60 of these were in the north of England and 13 were in Wales. The Green Party strength was in London. There is no argument that the number of seats declared for Labour does not reflect the total voting results, but what it does reflect is the party which had the broadest support across the country, and that was Labour and parties which share a similar position on much of its economic manifesto. Regional dominance is muted in favour of a national result. The issue here is one of economic policy, and the Labour position can be argued to have been agreed to or understood would be implemented by a majority of UK voters. Here's why: the Greens 6.7%, Plaid Cymru 0.7%%, SNP 2.5% Sinn Fein 0.7% for a total of 10.6% all have economic policies similar or more "radical" than Labour. The Liberal Democrats 12.2% offered economic policies similar to Labour, although diverging on some issues. That's a total of 22.8% of the voters. Reform did not offer an economic platform. It was a one issue policy driven by immigration policy and Brexit insistence. In effect, the Conservatives occupied their economic policy territory alone. Former Conservative voters chose to split their votes migrating to Reform and the Liberal Democrats. The end result is what they were warned would happen: Labour was handed a land slide victory. The current Labour policies should not be a surprise to anyone. Consider it a good dosing of fiber needed to clear out the failed Conservative policies and to refocus the Conservatives. -

I suggest you Google bus fires before you open your mouth again. I did, so I know it´s much more frequent in India, South Africa and Thailand as some examples among about 5-6 countries in total. -

Is Thailand Value for money
UK petrol = 60baht a litre, full cover insurance, 10kbaht, repairs here, cheap, Ford cambelt change cost 5.5k all in, same job in UK x 3 at least, wear and tear between the 2 huge due to climate, buying is a bit of a chestnut, I'm a DIY mechanic of 60 years so buying to me is not a lottery. -

Free movie streaming sites
netflix, and other streaming services, aren't exactly expensive. if you're really hard up financially many offer free time periods so you can watch free for a month or whatever, then cancel and pay nothing.
