Dr. Mark, is currently pursuing a PhD at Siriraj Hospital and emphasised the importance of basic first aid knowledge and how interventions like CPR can make the difference between life and death.

100% agree....  Props to Dr. Mark...  Saving the life of another in such a manner has avoided a profound loss for those surrounding the unwell..

My father had a heart attack in is 60's - I was over here at the time and flew straight home - he was very fortunate that a Dr. was nearby (in our quiet rural area) and he was attended to within minutes which almost certainly saved his life...    Our son, now has the pleasure of spending his time with his grandfather when we visit the UK and the value of that cannot be understated.

Its great to see such a positive story and the spreading of the information of how important basic first aid such as CPR is.

Agreed

But hope the tourist does not have a further heart attack when shown the hospital bill.

They'll break it to him gently, pay up before you get out of bed.
