I am married to a Thai woman. (I'm the only one, right?) Anyway, we got married in the states a few years ago.

My first year here, I obtained a type "O" visa good for one year. Then I returned to the states for a Vaca, and sent the Thai Embassy my usual documents along with an additional document fromt the school where I am working where they requested that I be allowed to return to work. This time, I was issued non imm "B".

Now, we still plan on staying here for more time. I am able to put 400k into a Thai bank. I am 80% certain that I will continue to work for the same school next year, but in the event I do not, will it be possible for me to stay without doing some complicated visa run back to the states, or Vientienne, etc?

TX, you guys have always been v. helpful.

You should have no problems extending on the basis of being married to a Thai without any tedious trips home :o

BUT

The 400k in the bank option is no longer available to new applicants, you now need to show a family income of 40k per month, but it can be offshore and you can use your wifes (tax paid) income as part or all of the 40k.
