October 20, 20241 yr Author I grew up in a Italian neighborhood outside of Boston! Three quarters of the neighbors rooted for the Yanks because of Phil Rizzuto , Joe DiMargio. I watched the Yanks all my life ,Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford , years to the Thurman Munson, Reggie Jackson, Lou Pinnella, Bucky Dent .Billie Martin Ron Gidrey years to the Joe Torre , Mariano Reveria, derick Jeter,Bernie Williams years. I stopped watching when baseball started taking a knee during the Anthem. I picked it back up again cause my kid in California was a fan of Judge , he got me back in it. I brought my wife back to the states for a visit and we took in a DODGER/ Yankees game in LA ! 41 American League championships 27 World Series Series championships! Simply the best!

It would be the first time the Yankees and Dodgers have met in a World Series since 1981. The Yanks played the Mets in 2000 in a Subway Series. Either way, it's a classic match-up.
