I've tried the airport way, takes ages to find a parking spot in short term parking, then 250 baht for the privilege.

I just looked at the Samrong option, driving time plus train journey actually adds time to my journey even in traffic. 20 baht is neither here or there but a 50 baht congestion charge over a 70 baht parking fee......

Looks like i will be sticking to the car for the near future.

Appreciate the tips though, never really looked at it this closely.

Ultimately - this is why we nearly always just drive - the added time at each end getting to & from the BTS stations make it not worth it for us…

We all know  traffic is bad in bkk and other areas. a charge is allready in place for motorway traffic which a taxi passes onto the customer or car owner pays for a quicker drive time.I think they see what happens in the west and other cities. as a money earning scheme like london or paris and parking permits are easy money for who is in control of the city.Ask a londoner what they think of the mayor and they will tell u quickly .Only the cyclist or a certain group think khan is good
