it appears I may have been over the limit at times as well

Yes, but you self assessed that you were fine to go and you got home no problem

The rate they set is way too low.

Arguable and moot...       over the limit is over the limit.

In my case, I've had two beers and drive (2x 330ml cans - usually anywhere between 3.5 and 5% ABV)...

I recall going to a bar with the wife - the BiB were there as part of a DUI education exercise, it was a bit of fun and we could test ourselves on the breathalysers - I'd had 2 beers and was still under the limit...   but 3 or 4 hours later on, when I'd drunk a lot more and and merrily pished up I was well over the limit (3 or 4x if I recall correctly)...

I understand the point you made earlier on in the thread that the 'limit is set on based on the lowest common denominator'...    BUT, its still A BAC level, and if your metabolism is higher and your body breaks down alcohol more quickly, then you will not be over the limit after 2 beers in an hour etc...

The 'rate they set' is based on scientific fact followed by governments world wide...

If you are over the DUI limit, you are impaired, whatever your body size and tollerance of alcohol.

I have a Thai mate who states he can drive well while drunk because he is so familiar with driving while drunk....  his opinion is equally as flawed as yours.

Impared is imparied - you are arguing that as you are aware you are impared you take extra caution which is a non-sequitur becasue you are already impaired !!!
