Authorities in Prachuap Khiri Khan province responded at approximately 12.30 on October 29, to a report of a murder, after the body of a homeless woman was found in an abandoned restroom near a local market, adjacent to the Thap Sakae Municipal Childcare Centre.

Police Lieutenant Visanu Sangman, Deputy Investigator at Thap Sakae Police Station, reported the incident and led a team to investigate the scene alongside forensic officers, rescue volunteers from the Sawang Rungrueng Thap Sakae Foundation, and a physician from Thap Sakae Hospital.

The victim, identified as Ms. Soipradap Thongsuk, age 53, was discovered lying on a pillow near the restroom, beneath a large tamarind tree. She had visible injuries on her face and torso, with initial medical assessments suggesting she had been dead for at least three hours.

A local resident, Mr. Somwang Saisard, age 62, who was intoxicated and speaking incoherently, told officers that he had been with the victim for approximately 20 years and that they had one son together. According to Mr. Somwang, he claimed that at least three assailants attacked his partner the previous night. He stated that when he attempted to intervene, the attackers fled. However, police were skeptical of his account due to his intoxicated state and his history of frequent alcohol-fueled disputes with the victim.

Forensic officers collected fingerprints, DNA samples, and other evidence from the scene to aid in the investigation. The victim’s body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a post-mortem examination as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Looks like they solved the case already.
