Why would a border bounce be required.

You could attend your local immigration office to transfer stamps.

You could have even left it till 90 day report window open and done both at the same time.

Nothing to do with transfer of stamps.

My new passport wasn't in the "90 day online system" and a border bounce was required to fix this, Well documented, maybe before your time.

I came to Thailand in 2012 (first time) and remained.

Have renewed passport twice.

I never required a "border bounce" as it was/is not required.

From you recent posts, online 90 day doesn't work for you?

Anyway, not going to debate further with someone who is "a legend in their own mind".

I certainly do not regard myself as you describe.

Fact is you posted your experience re new passport.

I have never read anything that mirrors that.

As for my rejections for online reporting, that involves CW.

From various reports over time it seems that online reporting at CW more problematic than some other offices.

Recent report of approval in under 50 minutes regional office.

Seems to me this is perhaps automatic approval.

Maybe you should reflect on a lot of your replies where you have called  out  "newbies" and others lesser experienced than yourself, where you describe their topics & posts as "rubbish" or "pointless" etc. We were all green/naïve in the early days. Well apart from you of course.

Continue your contributions as many are helpful.

That's a like from me.

You get rejected if you have been outside the country and re-enter.

... hmm, yes, may indeed be worth a try, not just been abroad but also came back stamped in on new pp myself - now, that looks like a bit of a challenge for sure.

Did a new online-tm30 (regarding new pp) as well ... different immi franchise though, all just a matter of luck here obviously but will try it next week then ...

You could opt to leave transfer of stamps to new passport to when window for your 90 day report is open and do both at the same time in person

... yes, was the actual plan but I need to do my annual extension as well - would all be too easy otherwise, hehe - so have to show up in person for 1 time anyway, unfortunately that's off by about 10 days  or so from the  90day due ... so I'll better give the online-90day a try beforehand ...

Forgot to mention.....

CW has now added extra requirement to transfer of stamps if extension is based on retirement using money in bank method they want photocopies of bank book pages back till issue of current extension with name +account # page.

Also I had to make deposit to show activity.

Correct, you show up with both passports, fill an easy form, copy Face and last Visa extension and they transfer all to the new one.

That's correct however note my post re CW requiring bank book and photocopies of bank book pages to ensure compliance if using money in bank method.

Also folk should be aware that their eg reentry permit was issued at an airport that local immigration office will not transfer that stamp and you would travel (internationally) with both passports
