Friday night I got on a bus from northern Thailand to go to Pattaya. So I could do the 90 day check in. I went in at 8:30 A.M. on saturday at the immigration office. Just to find out there closed on saturdays & sundays. I thought they were open at least a half a day on saturday. I guess i'm wrong again. So i'm stuck in Pattaya for a extra day . So on monday morning I was there early about 7:30 A.M. I wanted to be first in line. So I could get on the 9:30 A.M. bus to go back up north. They weren't open yet. But, the cleaning lady said I could sit inside. So I sat there a couple minutes and a immigration officer came over and asked what I was in there for. I gave him my passport & told him the 90 day check in. He gave me the form and then he went somewhere. He then came back and asked for the form & passport back. So I gave it to him. He stamped the form & attached it to my passport. He said, now you can go home. Done by 8:00 A.M. Plenty of time to catch the bus. I thanked him and asked him a question about the letter from embassy for income. He said I had to get a new one and I asked about MFA stamp on it. He said just letter from embassy. He might not know if the policy is changed yet or not. But, by October 1st time will tell.

Thereis no need for you to do the 90 days check in person. You could have done that at any immigration office where you were if you really wanted to do it in person. You can do it by mail
