No, they put what they know to him, if you are bang to rights you can pay the 1000 quid fine, if you deny it and go to court that is your option, probably at your own expense.

 

My chum did not pay the 1000 quid fine because he/they proved he had a brain operation, and they didn't know about locked pension as his sister in the UK did all his paperwork, he couldn't. I have since done his paperwork for many years to keep him out of trouble..

 

My chums friend had similar, but he knew he was on the fiddle, he paid the 1000 quid and now lives in the UK...

Though this was years back now, but as I said, if you know it all, great, but don't dismiss actual facts, eh...🤗

You are never 'bang to rights' ........ always deny, always go to court if they insist.

That's my policy, and I win every time, mostly the other side caves, but the two that didn't resulted in 1 win against the law society (disagreement over solicitors fees settled in my favour), 1 win against the police (7,000 pounds compensation paid to me).

 

The interesting thing about the UK police, they often start court proceedings then don't turn up to the court, so you win by default without needing any evidence.

The only times I filled in a tax return was to claim money back (3x), I've always been taxed at source with no other income. So no tax returns ever required, unless I have an allowance and don't want to wait until next year to get it back.

  Read them up instead of wandering off in some dream state. There are no stoppages enforced or otherwise,(excepting PoL)  which unfrozen will not receive    Receiving unfrozen OAP pension in TH is not fraudulent ,and I might add, if it were ,no action would be undertaken, ANA freezing

If a benefit is non-sanctionable or disqualifying, it means that even if there is an issue with your claim, your benefit won't be reduced or stopped
