nausea Posted yesterday at 02:32 AM Posted yesterday at 02:32 AM My bedroom has lots of chingchoks, which I don't mind as I understand they eat mosquitoes, which probably explains why my room, which is adjacent to greenery and has open (non-glass) windows, is very mosquito light. However, I've noticed three chingchoks recently recently, that lost their fear of me, slowly stopped moving and eventually died (at least the first two did, the third is in the slowly losing movement phase). Anybody know what's going on here? 1
Brock Posted yesterday at 06:01 AM Posted yesterday at 06:01 AM They are probably contacting insect spray, or something else that is killing them.
pest Posted yesterday at 06:06 AM Posted yesterday at 06:06 AM Fly sprays kill them Matbe your neighbor is spraying it
Burma Bill Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Gheckos are harmless and are beneficial in controlling flying insects such as mosquitoes (as you quite rightly stated). For reference (Google) The only thing I have found that not only kills geckos, but really turns them off, and gets them to move on is insect spray. I have had huge geckos in my home before. They are hard to catch. I sprayed them directly on the face with an ample amount of insect spray, and it seemed to really dull them and slow them down. 1
brewsterbudgen Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago They might be harmless, but they poop everywhere and make me jump. I have some anti-lizard spray which seems to slow them down so they can be swept up and chucked outside where they belong. 1

Ordinary mossie spray will stun then and make them fall to the ground, where you can stamp on the pests. Horrible things always getting in the rubbish bins, I kill on sight. 1
