Drunk Woman Dies After Crashing Motorcycle into Power Pole
Picture courtesy of Khoasod. A woman returning from a night out lost her life in a motorcycle crash after losing control and crashing into a power pole in Chonburi. At approximately 03:45 on 3 April, police from Don Hua Lo Police Station received a report of a fatal motorcycle crash on Phai Klang Don Road, Moo 2, Don Hua Lo subdistrict, Mueang district, Chonburi. Emergency responders from Traikhunatham Rescue Foundation were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officials found a black Yamaha Fino motorcycle (registration from Chonburi) damaged and lodged against a power pole. Next to the wreckage lay a young woman, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, wearing jeans and a t-shirt. She had sustained a severe head injury, with blood visible from her mouth, nose, and ears. Despite immediate CPR and emergency medical intervention, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. A rescue worker, identified as Mr Pan, stated that upon arrival, the victim was found unresponsive with a critical head injury. Despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead before reaching the hospital. Shortly after, a friend of the deceased arrived at the scene and informed authorities that the woman had recently returned from working abroad. Earlier that night, she had been drinking at a nightclub before deciding to ride home intoxicated, ultimately leading to the fatal crash. Police have taken the victim’s friend in for further questioning and will review CCTV footage from the area to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. The case is currently under investigation. -- 2025-04-04 -

French Tourist in Critical Condition After Zebra Crossing Accident
UPDATE: Tragedy in Thailand: French Tourist Killed on Zebra Crossing Picture courtesy of Amarin TV A French tourist tragically lost his life after being hit by a car while crossing a zebra crossing in Kanchanaburi on Wednesday night. The unfortunate event took place on Saengchutor Road near JJ Market in Muang district, as confirmed by Pol Capt Thammawat Sukheewat from the local police station, who received the alert around 10:45pm. The 40-year-old visitor was found severely injured on the roadside, with significant trauma to his face, limbs, and body. Emergency services treated the victim at the scene before he was rushed to Phaholpolpayuhasena Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after midnight, according to Pol Col Surayut Mekmangkol, the chief of Kanchanaburi police. The French embassy has been informed, and his body has been sent to the Police General Hospital in Bangkok for a detailed post-mortem examination. Krittaphat Kamrai, 24, the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident, stayed at the scene and was tested for alcohol consumption, with results showing no intoxication. Security footage recorded the moment the tourist was struck while using the zebra crossing. Reports indicate that Krittaphat failed to brake as he approached the crossing, resulting in the collision. Police have charged Krittaphat with reckless driving leading to death, and he is currently detained pending further investigation. The loss has resonated deeply, highlighting the importance of road safety, particularly in areas frequented by pedestrians and tourists. Authorities are continuing their inquiries into this devastating incident, aiming to piece together the full circumstances surrounding the tragic accident. Was my comment directed to you? Have I ever interact with you before? I only interact with you after I receive one of your pathetic, hostile comments. I always keep scrolling when I see your stupid postings. How about you mind your own business, you and your warrior keyboard find someone else to annoy. Try scrolling past comments without interacting with hostility, I understand that you are anonymous and feel like a tough guy behind the screen but it's childlike behaviour to send hostile comments to other members.
