A 28-year-old man from Chonburi sustained serious injuries after his speeding motorcycle collided with a warning signal sign and then crashed into a backhoe at the entrance of Bang Pu Municipality Soi 71 in Bang Pu Mai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samat Prakan.

The accident occurred at approximately 22:30 on November 21. Emergency services at the Prakan Rescue Centre received a report of the collision and coordinated with Bang Pu 811 rescue officials and the Ruam Kuson Foundation to respond to the scene.

At the site, located on Sukhumvit Road heading towards Bang Pu, responders found a black Honda Wave motorcycle (license plate from Chonburi) severely damaged and overturned in the right lane. Nearby, a small orange backhoe was parked on an embankment within the central ditch of the road.

The injured rider, identified as Mr. Terdsak Simphon, 28, a resident of Bang Lamung District, Chonburi, was found lying on his back with severe injuries. He had a large open head wound and a deep laceration on his nose. Medical teams from Sikarin Hospital in Samut Prakan administered first aid before transporting him to the hospital for further treatment.

An eyewitness, Ms. Pairin Khamkhun, 30, recounted the incident: “He was coming very fast, hit the signal sign, and then crashed into the backhoe. The impact threw him off the bike. At the time, the backhoe was preparing to load onto a six-wheel truck. All the safety signals, including cones and warning signs, were in place, but he was going too fast to notice.”

Police are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash.
