Looks like the elites are planning another kabuki theater for her return to Thailand.  Just like her brother, all this song and dance but at the end of the day everyone knows she won’t spend one day in detention.  Total waste of time and resources by thousands of people to act like justice is being done and the law is being followed.  He relaxed in a hospital, she might get home confinement in her penthouse for a month.  And the authorities will claim justice has been served.

She did nothing wrong. You can not blame her for what others did. The rice pledging scheme in theory was sound and good (Remember Joseph and his technicolour coat) it was the dishonesty of those involved. Plus she did the right thing and called an election but the generals wanted control so rounded up the politicians and held them at gun point. They gave themselves powers that any dictator would dream of, rewrote the constitution and arrested anyone who dared question them. Even removing a brase plack that had been in place for decades. Maybe the question should be "Where did the money go from the sale of the rice?" Also, how can generals become billionaires on a very modest salary?

They don't affect me either. The current government in the UK does affect me a little

 

Whilst the Thai government does not affect me personally very much, it does affect my Thai wife and son.

 

I have worked, lived and visited Thailand since 1993. I have a Thai wife and son and I left the UK back in 1991.

 

Thailand IS my home. In the UK have an ex wife, a son plus a daughter in law and 2 grandchildren I have never seen, and at 80 I never will. Also I still have a few old friends there.

 

I do argue and speechify about Harry and William and King Charles. Not on this thread however.

 

IMO, Harry screwed his own life up. He had a good life before he married and it is up to him to sort it out.

 

William is doing a grand job considering the medical problems with his wife and his father.

 

Charles is doing a good job to the best of his ability considering his age and both he and his wife's medical problems and his brother Andrew and Harry's  problems.

 

I think that he should abdicate and retire and let William run the show. That is only my personal opinion however.
