In the early hours of November 26, a violent altercation broke out at a residence on Soi Yensabai, Pattaya, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. The clash left two individuals injured and drew a crowd of curious onlookers, including many tourists.

Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Rescue Centre received a report of the incident at 02:30 and coordinated with Pattaya Police to investigate the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found Mr. Aditep Thepsupa, 19, with a stab wound to his right leg. Rescue personnel provided first aid before transferring him to the hospital. The other party involved, known only as “Mr. Joke,” , identified as the step father, in the dispute sustained a left wrist slash injury and was also taken to the hospital after receiving initial medical attention.

You can blame the schools a bit because they don’t want to upset the kids parents and lose face. So they get away with a lot more than we did growing up. But it’s really up to the parents to ingrain respect their elders and peers. They also need to be taught how to handle themselves when they are upset or don’t get what they want. My son would never dare raise his voice or disrespect an elder and understands that he can’t always get what he wants. Kids are stuck to their phones and unfortunately many parents are as well.

First in video game by Capcom in 1987.

Then into movie 1994.

Now in 2024, Live Action in Pattaya without script...

My other half told me parents refuse to chastise their kids these days because they are in fear of ' they won't be loved! ' by their children.

Yes, I was totally confused by this too.

Maybe, it's because the parents just don't know anything about parenting!

However, in their defence, it's happening all over the Western world too.

Kids glued to phones and only interested being on TikTok, X, Instagram and completely have a disconnect with the real world, adding back they are lazy and entitled.

No, it is when you notice an error in the news stories. As the moderators do not monitor all posts, if the report button is used it brings it to their attention. I monitor my notifications of my own posted stories, but can’t do that 24 hours a day.

What has happened to the youths in Thailand? No respect for anyone anymore. not even the elders. Thailand likes to brag about their culture and how the child takes care of family. But more and more I see stories about how the children attack, mame or kill the parents or grandparents over miniscule things like a few hundred baht or not giving money to buy something they wanted. Stupid reasons always for the injuries and deaths the child causes.

Has the countries school systems, teachers and the parents lack of giving the child a sense of responsibility finally caught up to this country and showing itself in these types of incidences?

I sure hope my own kids learn their sense of responsibility as they grow up. I try everyday to teach them this at home and know nothing about it is taught in their schools.

maybe people awake little by little after 6 decades of constant brainwash from birth ?

I compare it how 'calm' countries like iraq, lybia, etc were... when the dictator, sorry, ruler of the country, was still in place...

Maybe the step father buggered the kid throughout his childhood or beat the boy's mother and the boy waited until he felt strong enough to address the problem.  There are a dozen different scenarios that could precipitate this kind of violence.

Do you know any Arabs?

If so, ask them how Libya was under Gaddafi.  An Algerian friend referred to it as a paradise. It was the envy of all of the countries in the region.

Wow, clever retort. Is that what passes for British wit these days?

How do you know that the kid was responsible?

For all you know the stepfather could have been abusive and violent.

It wouldn't be the first time a drunk step father came home to beat on his wife or to accost the  children.

Perhaps it would be prudent to refrain from  offering polemics on the state of Thailand youth, until  the facts of the incident are established.

That's  rubbish.  Libya has 140+ individual tribes and within those tribes and at any given time, they were feuding with each other. The feuds could be bloody  and petty. Ghadaffi came to power in a military coup in 1969.  From that time until his own overthrow, he suspended fair judicial process and forbid free elections. He ruled with an iron fist and publicly executing political dissenters. His government abolished private property ownership other than one dwelling, nationalized retail and manufacturing and restricted access to bank accounts, seizing  depositor savings to fund his grandiose schemes. This is why there were multiple uprisings.
