NoshowJones Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I am getting these McAfee protection adverts all the time everyday on my Laptop. Is there any way I can stop this? I have never had anything to do with them so why are they always bothering me?

Here is a Wikipedia link about them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McAfee They are a US company started in 1987. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McAfee This link should get you through to their Customer Service website. After that you are on your own as only you know what your exact problem is. From what I found, their contact numbers are only a phone number in the USA or a chatbot site.

Thanks Bill, but there is nothing to get me to their customer service. Surely there must be some method on my laptop I can use to get rid of them.
transam Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Some PC's have it installed from new, look for it, then uninstall it. 🤗
ricklev Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago As above, go to your apps list and uninstall anything that says McAfee.

There ought to be an unsubscribe link somewhere in the message. Alternative you may be able to install an ad blocker (free) to block that one source.

Yes there was an unsubscribe link, but that was maybe 2 or 3 months ago, I used it 2 or3 times but it still keeps coming back. I never subscribed to them in the first place. I will check the ad blocker. Thanks. 1
