December 9, 20241 yr Many VPNs offer this but as far as I can see the split has to occur at the "app" level. Why can't it occur at the "URL" level for example I might not want to use the VPN to access Lazada Thailand but want to use it to watch F1 on channel4 both via google or firefox but one needs a Thai IP the other needs a UK IP.
December 9, 20241 yr Just checked on my NORD and it is as you say, at the App level as opposed to url. I shall chat with them and see what they say, and let you know their answer. From Co-Pilot. Split tunneling in NordVPN allows you to route some of your internet traffic through the VPN while letting other apps access the internet directly. This feature is available on NordVPN apps for Windows, Android, and Android TV. Here’s how to enable split tunneling on NordVPN: Open NordVPN App: Launch the NordVPN app on your device. Go to Settings: Tap on the settings icon (gear icon) in the top-left corner. Select Split Tunneling: Scroll down to the "VPN connection" section and tap on "Split tunneling". Choose Apps: Select which apps you want to exclude from the VPN connection. This feature is useful if you want to access local content or services while still keeping some of your internet traffic secure.
December 9, 20241 yr From NORD help Split Tunneling in NordVPN proxy extension is a feature that allows you to split your browser traffic. If some websites do not work with a VPN or you simply do not want to have the traffic routed through a VPN you can bypass URLs and domains. In other words, it allows you to specify the URLs and domains you want to access with your real IP address and unencrypted traffic.

I guess it might be possible to have two browsers one for UK IP connections and the other for non UK IP connections??

Surfshark VPN has both options. i.e App and IP address/URL

Hey thanks - I tried some time ago with Nord (I have been with them for about 10 years) and it wasn't available then - just shows that in IT you have to keep Updating your knowledge all the time.
