As others have said you do not need a birth certificate for renewal. And a Thai driver's license is sufficient for proof of address.
If ever you do need a birth certificate copy you don't need to fly back, you can do it online. I did it once years ago when my first child was born - easy.
Electric vehicles/bikes are dangerous especially at speed. One cannot hear them.
As kids, we were taught to Stop, Look and Listen.
I have problems walking around where I live - no footpaths and electric bikes and vehicles and speeding along the narrow roads.
No one seems to use their horns either.
Mind you, walking for exercise seems to only be a foreigner's thing.

Nope, I've always believed that it's better to pay for it than to steal it or get it for free. I've turned down a number of free ones recently for that very reason. You pay to make them go away.
