    The UAE is a truly despotic place. I hope I never need to go there. Their regime is horrific. Go there at your own risk.

Obviously, them not being a nanny state.

 

I once thought of working there for the freer life than Saudi, but the pay was a lot less. Pay in Saudi had to be high to get westerners to stay past 3 months.
