Nakhon Si Thammarat is grappling with severe flooding after incessant rain battered the province, claiming another life and bringing the death toll to four. This ongoing deluge has submersed key city areas, crippling transport and forcing businesses to halt operations.

For several days, relentless rainfall has inundated the city, overwhelming both infrastructure and residents. Despite a brief lull yesterday morning, December 15th, the rain resumed forcefully, worsening the already dire situation. Floodwaters of up to 70 centimetres now engulf Pattanakarn-Kukwang Road, a vital economic artery, halting vehicle traffic and business activities.

Emergency services have scrambled to protect facilities like Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital, where water levels rise alarmingly. Even arterial roads like Route 401 and nearby access routes are swamped, leaving only large trucks to pass.

Authorities remain vigilant as forecasts predict more rain, prompting provincial warnings and urging residents to stay informed and cautious. With dark clouds lingering, Nakhon Si Thammarat braces for further challenges, hoping for a break in the weather soon.

First floor of a friend's house is flooded out.  Minor compared to what others are experiencing.

Another friend not having a problem this year, but last year the stream breached the road, and water was lapping at her front steps :w00t:
